While Protecting Your Family
From Potentially Toxic Molds
Dear Friend,
How much is the health and well-being of your family worth?
Each year millions of people are unknowingly exposed to mold in their homes and businesses.
Exposure symptoms range from minor flu-like irritations to much more serious cases – and in some instances death.
The Starks family would agree.
In 2012, a bathroom in their Denver home became overrun with this fungus.
It was a battle they were quickly losing… and after enduring intense remediation services on multiple occasions the problem persisted. It took them nearly 11 months to fully remove the mold and cost tens of thousands of dollars.
A similar story happened in 2007 to the Fabry family…
The difference being their 11 year old daughter became ill with vertigo, nausea and vomiting which doctors could not explain. It was finally determined that toxic mold spores had become airborne and were spreading throughout their home.
You Can’t Get Rid Of It…
Until You Identify It
Just like the 2 families above are unique, mold also comes in thousands of different species. And hundreds of these potentially deadly “mold families” occupy the same space as humans.
Here are 3 types commonly found in homes and businesses.
- Stachybotrys: Implicated by the public health community as a dangerous toxic mold. It’s been associated with several infant deaths and was ‘implicated’ in the multi-million dollar Texas lawsuit. Mycotoxins from this fungus cause rashes, inflammation and hemorrhaging of the lung – it can also suppress your immune system.
- Aspergillus is responsible for ailments from allergy-type illnesses to life-threatening generalized infections. This mold grows in both the lungs and sinuses, threatening permanent lung damage or even death
- Penicillium: Some species are known for their antibiotic effects. However, many species grow indoors and produce very dangerous mycotoxins. These can affect the liver, kidneys, and nervous system, posing a serious threat to your health.
There’s a good chance early detection would have saved the Starks and Fabry families tremendous heartache. Any problem – particularly mold related – is best solved quickly.
Hiring a professional consultant to test for mold can cost you between $1,100 and $1,700. It can actually be more but that’s a decent average. I have no doubt you would spend that much to assure the safety of your family – we all would.
However for those border-line situations… when you think there’s a problem, but aren’t sure. Investing thousands of dollars can be a crippling expense… for a problem you might not even have.

5 Simple Steps to Test for Mold
Sounds complicated? Like you need some kind of special training?
It’s not, and no training is needed.
Here are 5 simple steps for you to follow:
- Rent a professional air quality testing pump
- Collect the air samples yourself (saving yourself the professional fees)
- Send the air samples to Mold & Bacteria Consulting Laboratories for analysis
- Sit back and relax
- Receive a self-explanatory lab report with suggestion on what to do next if the air quality in your home is compromised.
How Much Will It Cost You?
I think the better question is… just how much will this save you?
Hiring a professional company will cost you between $1,100.00 and $1,700.00 depending on the job size. Either way, it’s a significant investment on your part.
The MBL basic mold testing package only costs $182.00 (plus tax) and includes:
- Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Use the Equipment (we make the process simple)
- Rental of Air-Sampling Pump (1 day rental only);
- 2 FREE cassettes, 1 for indoor air sample and the other for outdoor sample;
- Easy to Follow Air Sampling Instructions;
- Analysis of samples by a recognized laboratory with a turn-around time of 48 working hours;
- Laboratory report with results interpretation;
- FREE on phone, 15 minutes professional consultation to help you decide if further investigation and/or remedial action is necessary.

How Many Samples Should You Collect?
The basic package comes with 2 air sampling cassettes. This enables you to take 1 sample indoors and a control sample outdoors. Each room to be tested requires 1 cassette.
However if you’re testing 5 rooms (for example), you need 6 cassettes, one for the control/outdoor sample. So therefore it would be 6-2 = 4 cassettes. Additional cassettes can be added to your package at any time.
